They're experienced, independent professionals — not CFMF employees. Every counsellor holds current professional registration, carries their own insurance, and has been vetted by our team. They choose to be part of this program because they care about men's mental health.

Sessions are $150 for approximately 50–60 minutes. You pay when you book, and you'll get a receipt straight to your inbox.

Yes. If you hold a healthcare card or are experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for a subsidised session. The counsellor still gets their full fee — CFMF covers the gap through donations. Get in touch at admin@cfma.org.au to find out more.

All sessions are via secure telehealth video call — so you can do it from home, your car, wherever you feel comfortable. You'll just need a phone or computer with a camera, a decent internet connection, and a private space where you won't be interrupted.

Absolutely. Have a look through the directory, read their profiles, and pick the person you feel most comfortable with. It's your call.

Our platform is designed to get you through the door — your initial appointment. If you and your counsellor click and you want to keep going, you'll book your next sessions directly with them at their regular rate.

Life happens. If you need to cancel, just let your counsellor know at least 24 hours beforehand and you'll get a full refund. Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or don't show up, and the fee isn't refundable. If your counsellor needs to cancel, you'll get a full refund or a free reschedule.

Yes, completely. What you share in a session stays between you and your counsellor. CFMF doesn't see, access, or store anything from your sessions. Your counsellor manages their own clinical records in line with Australian privacy law.

It's normal to feel unsure. Counselling is a space to speak honestly without judgement. You don't need to have the right words or a clear plan — just a willingness to show up. Your counsellor will listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore what's really going on beneath the surface. It might feel unfamiliar at first, but many men find it relieving just to be heard. It's not about being fixed. It's about being real — and you won't be doing it alone.
