CFMF in New South Wales
Active circle groups and counselling in Sydney, with online support for men across the state.
Circle Groups in Sydney
Our Sydney men’s circle group is well established and growing. It’s a regular gathering of men who come together to share openly, listen deeply, and support one another through whatever life is throwing at them. No lectures, no therapy-speak — just honest conversation in a space where it’s safe to be real.
The group runs on a consistent schedule and welcomes new members throughout the year. You don’t need any prior experience, and you don’t need to be in crisis. Plenty of blokes join simply because they want more meaningful connection with other men — something that can be surprisingly hard to find, even in a city of five million.
If you’re outside Sydney, our online circle groups offer the same format and depth of connection from wherever you are in New South Wales. Men in regional NSW have found these groups to be a genuine lifeline, especially in areas where support services for men are thin on the ground.
Counselling and Support
We have qualified counsellors available in the Sydney region for face-to-face sessions, as well as telehealth options for men anywhere in New South Wales. Our counsellors understand the specific pressures men face — relationship breakdown, work stress, identity questions, anger, grief, and the quiet isolation that often sits underneath it all.
This isn’t about lying on a couch and talking about your childhood (unless that’s what you need). Our approach is practical, direct, and respectful. We meet you where you are and work with you at your pace. Many men who come to counselling also find their way into a circle group, and vice versa — the two work well together.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, that’s completely normal. Reach out and have a conversation with us first. There’s no obligation.
Events Worth Travelling For
While our signature events are held in Queensland, a significant number of participants come from New South Wales — and for good reason. The Men’s Rite of Passage (MROP) is a five-day wilderness experience that over 57% of men travel interstate to attend. It’s the kind of thing you can’t get from a weekend workshop or a self-help book.
Forged offers a similar experience for younger men, and The Gathering is a powerful one-day event that’s a great way to experience the CFMF community without a five-day commitment.
NSW men who’ve attended these events often come back and become some of our most active community members — facilitating groups, volunteering, and inviting others along. That’s the ripple effect we see again and again.
If you’re in New South Wales and looking for something real — a group, a conversation, an experience that actually shifts something — we’re here. Browse our groups, explore counselling, or just get in touch. We’ll take it from there.
