CFMF in Victoria

Men's circle groups and counselling in Melbourne, with online and national options for men across Victoria.

Circle Groups in Melbourne

Melbourne has an active and growing men’s circle group, and it’s become one of the strongest parts of our community outside Queensland. The group meets regularly and offers a space where men can show up honestly — no masks, no performance, just real conversation with other men who are doing the same.

If you haven’t been part of a men’s circle before, here’s what to expect: a small group of men, a simple structure, and a commitment to confidentiality and respect. You share what you want. You listen when others share. Over time, something shifts. Men describe it as finding a kind of brotherhood they didn’t know they were missing.

New members are welcome, and you don’t need to be referred or in crisis to join. Many men come because they’re looking for deeper connection, or because they’re navigating a change — a separation, a career shift, becoming a father, losing a parent. The group holds space for all of it.

For men outside Melbourne, we also run online circle groups that bring the same format and depth of connection to wherever you are in Victoria.

Counselling That Gets It

We have counsellors based in Melbourne offering face-to-face sessions, alongside telehealth options for anyone across the state. Our counselling approach is straightforward: we work with you, not on you. Sessions are practical, grounded, and tailored to what you’re actually going through.

The men who come to us deal with a wide range of things — relationship breakdowns, work burnout, anger they can’t quite explain, grief that won’t shift, or a nagging sense that something’s missing even though life looks fine on paper. Sound familiar? You’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself.

If you’re not sure whether counselling is for you, that’s fine. Get in touch and have a no-pressure conversation. We can help you work out what might be the best next step.

Part of Something Bigger

Being connected to CFMF in Victoria means being part of a national community of men who are committed to showing up — for themselves, for each other, and for their families. Our signature events, including the Men’s Rite of Passage (MROP) and Forged for younger men, draw participants from every state. Victorian men are always well represented, and many describe the experience as a turning point.

The Gathering is our annual large-scale event — a brilliant way to experience the CFMF community if you’re curious but not ready for a five-day wilderness program.

As our Victorian community grows, so does our capacity to offer more locally. If you’re interested in volunteering or helping to expand what we do in this state, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. Every group, every event, every new connection started with one person saying yes.
