CFMF in Western Australia
We have people in every state — reach out and connect, and we'll find the way we can help.
Bridging the Distance
Western Australia is the most geographically isolated state in Australia, and that distance can show up in ways that go beyond kilometres. For men in Perth — and especially in regional WA — finding genuine, honest support can feel like an uphill battle. The services that exist are often stretched thin, and the kind of deep, ongoing men’s community that CFMF builds isn’t something you can find on every corner.
We get it. And while we don’t yet have face-to-face services in WA, we’re committed to making sure Western Australian men can access what we offer. Our online circle groups run via video call on a regular schedule, with facilitated structure that creates real space for honest conversation. The time zone difference is accounted for — we make sure WA men can participate without unreasonable scheduling.
These aren’t webinars or support hotlines. They’re small groups of men who show up consistently, share what’s going on, and listen to each other without judgement. Over time, genuine trust and connection build. Men who were sceptical about the online format often become its strongest advocates once they’ve experienced it.
Telehealth counselling is also available to men anywhere in Western Australia. Our counsellors work with men on the things that often go unaddressed — relationship breakdown, work stress, anger, grief, loneliness, or a quiet sense that life isn’t quite what it should be. Sessions are practical, direct, and respectful of your time.
Events That Draw Men from Every State
Our signature events are held in Queensland, and yes, that’s a long way from Perth. But here’s the thing: over 57% of men who attend the Men’s Rite of Passage (MROP) travel interstate. WA men are among them, and they consistently describe the experience as worth every kilometre.
MROP is a five-day wilderness experience — not a motivational seminar or a survival challenge, but a deep, structured initiation into a more honest and grounded way of living. It’s been running since 2000 and has changed the lives of hundreds of Australian men.
Forged offers a similar experience for younger men on the threshold of adulthood. And The Gathering is a one-day event that brings men together from across the country — a great first step if you’re curious but not ready for a five-day commitment.
The travel required from WA is real, but many men say it’s actually part of the power — physically leaving your routine behind and committing fully to something different.
Plant the Seed in WA
We’d love for CFMF to have a strong, local presence in Western Australia, and that starts with men on the ground who care about this work. If you’re in Perth — or anywhere in WA — and you’re interested in helping to build our community here, we want to hear from you.
That could mean helping to start a circle group, volunteering at events, connecting us with local organisations, or simply being a point of contact for other WA men who are looking for something real. We provide facilitation training, ongoing mentorship, and connection to a national community that will have your back.
Every state where CFMF is now thriving started with a handful of men who took the first step. Western Australia could be next.
